This week I am fascinated with our cultures propesnity to negate itself.

What shocks me even more is the massive amount of time we waste doing it.

I am saying we, because I am covering my ass. I am probably not even aware of how often I make negative remarks about something someone else is doing.

What if, instead of using energy letting the world know what we don’t like, we all applied our energy to what we were inspired by?

And no energy to things that do not inspire us?

What would that look like?

How would you feel?

You hear where this is going right?

There are certain people on this planet who really drive me nuts.

They do things I simply don’t agree with. They are immoral.

In the past, I have commented, ranted, tried to set them straight, pointed out they are missing something on their journey.

What if I am wrong? What if everything they are doing in life is actually of benefit to them and the communities they support?

What if the immorality of it is in my experience?

So here is an invitation. Especially for the online community.

Vote with a click?

Negative publicity is publicity and negative energy is still energy given.

So don’t give out energy to anything that doesn’t serve you.

Simply stop giving your energy to anything you don’t agree with, even if only for one day.

Instead use the same energy to support something you do agree with.

If you usually spend hours researching the wrong doing of a person or organisation, STOP DOING IT.

Find an organisation or person you like, give them some energy.

Buy something with your time. For today, feel good about life.

See you on the other side of the looking glass,

Here is what I have for you today.

We are all born into a conversation called Good/Bad. We have no say in
it. It is in part culture, in part society and in part the opinions
and beliefs of the people who bring you up. By this I mean family,
extended family, teachers, friends.

These conversations create who you are. You get to be someone in the
face of them. You make decisions based on them. You run life by them.

I am in the middle of a self-development seminar.

I have distinguished so much about my beliefs and the way I perceive
the World, there is little left to distinguish or disappear.

Or have I?

Underneath all these, life just is. It really is that way. We live by
agreements we haven’t even made and yet we don’t do anything to undo
them, in fact we go on to make even more agreements we don’t want to
live by.

“Will you make the tea Mark?” “sure” and underneath that “I don’t want
to” and underneath that “I ought to because she did last night” and
underneath that “I want to earn enough money to get a cook” and “it
ought to be another way”.

All the shoulds and ought to’s in life. All the supposed to be’s. All
hooks into not accepting the world the way it is. And all choices you
haven’t chosen that lead to unhappiness.

Consider for a moment if your life stood for something more important
than merely being conscious.

I mean, we are all conscious right. Why make that your lifes purpose?

Spiritual leaders like Christ and Buddha tell us we should rise above
petty arguments and find spiritual peace, love.

Okay great, I no longer think my neighbour is annoying when his dog
barks at 05:00 am and I don’t want to poison the little bugger. We can
live in harmony. So what!

What if you had a conversation about yourself that made all that stuff
insignificant?

What if you took on something big? Real big?

Want to know where to start?

President’s Day!

A year or so after publication I am interested to see what I think and feel about my book and any subsequent book I may write.

The book, The Logic Of Attraction is a pointer in a direction. And really is a much deeper spiritual teaching than the simpler message the cover conveys. It is not the complete journey perhaps, but at least it is the taxi ride to the airport? Step in…

Everything I wrote in this book was valid (for me) when I wrote it and will be equally valid for you if you are travelling in the same spiritual direction I am, yet incomplete on that voyage.

I have no desire to be a guru. I am done with that. Enlightenment was the booby prize. Beyond enlightenment there is something else. The something else is simply a place to stand which neither validates nor invalidates enlightement, yet allows enlightenment to show up for you, like an occurance if you choose to be enlightened.

Enlightened is an interesting paradox in language. I am not saying I am or I am not enlightened. I am saying I can choose enlightenment and I personally think being enlightened about enlightenment is a good place to start out from, I don’t see it as a goal.

I choose something more ordinary than enlightenment and the place I choose to stand in is nothing. From the space of nothing (for me) true magic shows up.

If I define self as nothing, I can be, do, or have anything as a possibility.

If you read my book you’ll come part of the way.

If you want the rest of the puzzle revealed, then I am itching to reveal my next book!

Though, perhaps there really is nothing to convey,

See you on the other side of the looking glass,

Inspired by a conversation with Laurence Platt.

I have been thinking about death.

As a context, a basis for the creation of everything that exists, language is an interesting tool. It sets us apart from animals.

Without it, existence would have a different quality. Our experience of ourselves and our awareness of our awareness would not be the same.

As an autistic adult, I have a self-conscious nature. Though, I am not sure I agree with Dr Temple Grandin, that I am like an animal.

I would say I am further from animal in my noticing, with more extranious language, while retaining a connection to my animal self. I would say I have an over awareness of my animalness. It actually detracts somewhat from human social interaction. In otherwords, most human beings don’t notice themselves.

Like other autistic people, I do some of my thinking in pictures. I am going to use *language* as a verb here to describe the process.

If I am thinking about things I will *language* images into my thought processes. Thinking “I’ll collect Gina from the station” puts images of Gina, car and station onto an internal movie screen.

I visualise the outcome. It is a very natural process I am actually self aware of. It includes still images and movies of different aspects and outcomes and the best solution is presented back to me conversationally. It makes creative visualisation and vision boards easy conceptually and almost impossible to put into practice.

And language appears to be at the root of the process. So what does language have to do with death?

I would like to create something for you based on a recent experience.

Last Saturday, I went to see spiritualist medium, Philip Kinsella. For the purposes of this blog, it does not matter if you believe in mediumship or not. For a moment however, accept there is something the medium connects to, even if it is cold reading, the following holds true.

If you are a spiritualist, you will have to excuse my non-spiritualist use of the word dead. For me the terms passed and other side hold death at arms length.

However, Philip gave the audience messages from those crossed over to the other side. Very specific and very accurate messages, with very descriptive details and accurate names.

Interestingly for me, Philip worked with pictures and feelings. He then interpreted the information he was receiving and literally *languaged* the person he was channeling into being.

What do I mean by that?

The person being *given* arrived in the room as a concept or idea in Philip’s mind. A person who is dead, no longer has a physical presence. Assuming they exist, the only way for us to have awareness of their being, is for Philip to *language* their being into existence.

The only place they continue to exist past death is our conversation about them. Their existence is in language. Nowhere else… So langauge is their being?

And is that true of us? When I stop thinking in words and think in pictures, do I cease to be?

If I do, my existence is a paradox!

See you on the other side of the looking glass,

It’s A Wonderful Life is now considered the most inspirational American movie of all time, yet when it was released it was considered a box office flop.

It took around forty years for people to really “get it”.

As Christmas rolls around the globe, I want you to consider an opportunity.

The opportunity for each and every person on the planet to have an enlightenment experience.

The kind of experience people trek thousands of miles to Tibet for. The moment an experienced yogi would cite as profound. An awakening. And all available from a single weekend experience.

And a prediction…

Sooner or later, what I am about to tell you will be considered the most inspirational material of all time.

In 1971 a man named Werner Erhard created a seminar based large group awareness training called EST.

What you may not be aware of some thirty eight years later, the experience is still available in a similar training offered by Landmark Education.

The impact of the lives of the people who participate is profound.

Having recently reviewed the course, I now realise the huge positive impact originally participating in 1999 had on my life.

Apart from being born, 4:52pm on day three of the Landmark Forum is ongoingly the most important moment in my life.

I have access to living a life I love. And I love my life because I love my life.

My own book is based on principles I learned indirectly from Werner Erhard.

More interesting, my entire life is influenced by him and so is yours.

As the originator of the conversation about transformation and making a difference, almost everything these days hinges on these premises.

Virtually every conversation inside personal development and self-realisation lives in the idea we are perfect the way we are, when we remove our issues.

The way we are, AND the way we are not…

But how do we remove issues which would take a life time to evolve beyond?

Simply by removing our sense of self. The Ogre. Like Yoga. There be monsters between you and God!

So here is a Christmas gift to you. Let me take you in a direction by inviting you into a conversation.

For the twelve days of Christmas, I am giving away a free eBook download of my book The Logic Of Attraction (normally £9).

You can download it here:

http://LogicOfAttraction.com/MerryChristmas/LOA_XMASFREE.pdf

The password is: XMASFREE

And to accompany the book I am giving away an audio meditation, recorded by the fabulous Rich Hilton, which compliments an exercise in consciousness in the book.

All you have to do is sign up for the newsletter to receive it.

If you like what you get, comment below.

In Law Of Attraction, we created a rule for the Universe with two meanings.

An idea which can be empowering or destructive, depending on how you perceive and apply it.

One occurs as the final desperate act of a dying animal. The expectation that magic should be present, because the proponent of the law projects need into the future, as a solution for something seen as broken in life.

The other occurs like magic. When one is free of desire one automatically becomes an instrument of the Universe.

It becomes possible to take actions consistent with a future that truly leaves you satisfied.

And therein lies the paradox.

How is it possible to attain ones goals without striving to achieve them?

The key is in stepping up to a new level of responsibilty. A place where one chooses which thoughts are thoughts and which thoughts will dictate reality.

The proof lies in our noticing. What we see is what we get. Getting what we see is a bigger matter.

Did John manifest a new car, or did he just buy one? Did Lucy manifest a large sum of money, or did she just retire early and ask for a payoff?

The mind will always get proof of something without a predefined specific measurable result.

It is like a parlour psychic corroborating petty predictions to appease a difficult child.

So how does one perform the real magic?

By loving your life as it is now.

When you are truly satisfied with this moment and it occurs to you like “nothing wrong here” you have the key to the Universe. Anything is possible.

This is true enlightenment. True perfection. The ultimate expression of reality.

And from reality you can create anything you can think of.

Seek not material wealth as an end on to a journey. The journey is always complete.

See you on the other side of the looking glass,

mark ty wharton

Something I have learned about myself in the past week or so.

Life is about possibility. Without me, there may never be a Transport
Museum in Biggleswade. In fact at the moment there is no museum at
all. Sure lots of people are having conversations about it, yet nobody
is really doing anything. The focus seems to be on what is not
possible rather than creating a possible outcome then taking actions
consistent with having such a place become a reality.

So what am I doing?

I am introducing myself as a new conversation about museums in
Biggleswade. I have captured the interest of a friend with an
engineering works who can also see it’s possible.

And as the man with the idea, I am the first point of contact. While I
see myself as the founder not the owner, I actually want to create it
so it lives on without me, way beyond my lifetime.

At this present point in time, there is nothing. The museum exists in
my mind and in a conversation I had with a friend. Unless my friend
sees it as possible, the conversation will die. I need to be
responsible for creating the museum in conversation such that my
friend “gets it” and continues to see its potential. Right here, right
now, “I” am the museum.

By making my life work, I am making the museum work. So coming from a
place where there is a museum, what steps do I need to take to get
there?

I recognise I need to operate from a solid base. If my life is in
chaos, I will occur to others as chaotic. People, out there in the
world need to get that this is happening.

So, in doing the housework I am taking the first steps towards
creating a solid foundation for a transport museum.

By managing my breathing, anxiety, panic attacks and subsequent
depression, I am creating the possibility of exemplary customer
service.

I see the world winding down for Christmas and realise I am starting
this project at the perfect time of year.

By the time I have my presentations ready, the local community will be
saying their New Year resolutions and being positive.

Launching ideas on a wave of enthusiasm can only serve the autistic
community I wish to provide employment opportunities for more fully.

This is where the true magic starts, right here, right now!

Visit http://transportarcheum.com to find out more about it.

I completed The Landmark Forum last night, an empowering three day self-discovery course based on the world famous EST training, originally designed by United States Air Force leadership training consultant Werner Erhard.

The course was made famous by a string of celebrities like John Denver and Mike Oldfield whose careers literally exploded after doing it.

Werner also created The Hunger Project and consults with both Landmark and Harvard Business School.

I spent close to sixty hours in a chair exploring what it is to be human. Kind of a tough call for someone so alienated from society.

So now I am really clear where the spaced out and wacky Mark originates from. I actually connected with me. Not like an existential conversation about connecting with me, but a real connection with my being. I found “I”.

I also discovered I was quite literally born into a conversation for anxiety. Personal to me and not a part of the course. Maybe the reason I only got a fraction of what is possible in the past.

I have been in a state of general anxiety from the day I was born. I was given phenol barbitone when I was a tiny baby and was an agitated child. Pretty extreme. Poor me.

And suddenly here I am 46 years in with glimpses into what it is like to have normal adrenalin levels without using depression as the control factor.

What I really got was I have been using anxiety and panic attacks to manipulate people into giving me special consideration.

What I got to see from my participation in the course is that I don’t breathe properly. I hyperventilate and end up thinking really crazy stuff. And have done it so much, the unreality of it dictates my reality.

It is a very effective way of controlling people. “Look after me or I will lose it” leaves friends and family at their wits end wondering what to do.

Then we dealt with the issue of fear on the course. For some it disappeared. For me, I am in a place where I can take responsibilty for myself and do something about it.

I invent a new beginning for myself and recreate myself as a clearing for the possibility of being truly magical.

And I can see my relationship to my past is dictated by the possibility I invent for my future.

So my experience over the past few days occurs for me as truly magical, right down to the leader Jerry Baden, the flowers and the snow.

I also understood the whole course and was present (in mind at least) to the language right down to the commas.

So what next?

My transport museum conversation is expanding really quickly. I am piecing together key people to make it work and may even have someone lined up to buy the building to put it in.

Landmark disappeared my issues about marketing forever. And, I have partnered with someone to market my book.

I also made a decision to purchase a product which deals specifically with anxiety and panic. To do the program the way it is designed and to complete it.

I ordered Panic Away and have been working through the program.

It is all very grounding.

"This evening instead of taking my usual nap after work,
I put your creativity program on instead.
It had a remarkable effect...
I feel really relaxed and rested now, and I'm looking
forward to my next try.
You are really on to something here..." Klaus, Norway.

After researching famous creative people from the past, I discovered it was common practice for notable names to have afternoon naps, so I decided to meditate/sleep in the afternoon to increase my creativity.

Unable to find a suitable audio program for myself to meditate/sleep with, I created my own starting with a binaural/holographic recording of dolphins leaping in the North Sea that I made with my daughter Cloudia.

Then I looked at the technology in the Voyager brain training machine I bought in the early nineties. It uses audio tones to create the illusion of a beat frequency for your brain to synchronise to.

I have created a program that starts by simulating the kind of brain waves we experience while sleeping or in deep meditation.

After about twenty minutes I alert the listener and invoke brain waves that simulate stage 5 REM sleep. One aim of polyphasic sleep is to increase creativity by going directly to stage 5 REM sleep during power naps. This program is designed have a similar effect, without having to go to the extremes of sleep deprivation.

Listening to stage 5 REM beat frequencies while coming out
of sleep could be the most creative brain wave pattern a
human being could experience.

The program ends with a brief musical section and brings you gently back to conciousness at which point you are advised to make a record of your creative thoughts on a notepad or dictaphone.

It is essential to use stereo headphones. Please listen responsibly. Do not listen while driving or operating machinery. I do not recommend you listen to this program if you have a history of epilepsy or a seizure disorder.
